Norelis Arroyo was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and that is where she developed her artistic skills thanks to people who surrounded her. While in high school she took clothing construction classes, where she learned how to sew and had a glimpse of the fashion world. During Norelis' senior year of high school she realized that she wanted to become a Fashion Designer; however she decided to pursue a career in Educational Math in Puerto Rico because the colleges offering Fashion Design were too far from her home. Before the end of her first semester in 2009 she decided to come to Orlando, Florida to pursue training in Fashion Design and Merchandising at the International Academy of Design and Technology. As time passed, she realized that she has made the right decision by following her dream. While studying at IADT she has had the opportunity of participating in several fashion show events and showing her work. Norelis was featured in the Photoshop World Expo, where she showcased a Photoshop inspired design made with unconventional materials, Winner of the Design Challenge for IMAGINE Fashion Show 2011. She was selected as a debuting designer for her Spring 2012 collection at the Mall at Millenia Fashion Week 2011. She also showcased her senior collection "Hard Edge" in the IMAGINE 2012 and participated of the IMAGINE 2012 Challenge. As part of her industry related training she completed an internship at Metropolis Productions and currently works for Hardrive Productions, a costume company. Throughout her educational and professional experience Norelis' beliefs of becoming a fashion designer have been reaffirmed. She also aspires to open her own boutique and clothing line.
